It’s not common for a woman to feel good about having more wrinkles. Whether a women is 25 or approaching 50, having fewer wrinkles is a priority. Here are at least six ways to reduce the appearance of wrinkles or to limit them as much as possible.
Avoid the Sun
Sun is the number one cause of wrinkles. Avoiding the sun completely may not be possible but wearing protection such as sunscreen can help protect the skin. Protection against skin cancer is another added bonus to using products with sunscreen.
Drink plenty of water and watch those wrinkles disappear. Water has so many health benefits that it is just a smart daily addition. A good goal is to consume at least 64 ounces but a gallon would be the ultimate goal.
Get Enough Zs
Experts recommend at least eight hours of sleep to help the skin look younger. In fact, lack of sleep causes the body to produce a stress hormone called Cortisol. This hormone causes a disruption in skin cells. However, when the body gets plenty of sleep it produces Perricone, which is a growth hormone that helps the skin stay elastic and that means fewer wrinkles.
Eat a Healthy Diet
A woman’s diet plays a big role in her appearance. Eating fruits and veggies that are high in antioxidants reduces free radicals that cause chaos in the body. This disruption can also damage skin cells. Salmon and other cold water fish are said to have essential fatty acids that help nourish skin cells.
Use a Facial Cleaner
Use a cleaner that has a moisturizer. In addition, avoid over washing as this can strip the skin of its natural oils.
Apply a wrinkle cream
Topical creams that are moisturizers can help the skin stay hydrated and elastic. That equals skin that looks younger and healthy with fewer wrinkles.
A good defense is to reduce wrinkles before they start. Women are taking action in their early 20’s. Sun causes damage that is irreversible so be smart and cover up. With skincare products readily available on the market combined with a healthy lifestyle, wrinkles need not be a concern.
